The BPD and Harbor Patrol conducted another set of dives of the past six days which once again turned up no indication of Gene being in the water. They were using even more advanced equipment this time around, including sonar scans, 3D active side sonars, and six divers. They not only investigated the main harbor, but all channels around the harbor, both inner and outer, and around all piers.

No trace of Gene was found, which still gives us great hope that he never ended up in the water (as prior searches have led us to believe). We know he is out there somewhere, please keep him and his family in your prayers, and hope that he returns home soon!

WBZ4 did another news segment on Gene, it's great to see that the news is still putting his picture up so people know about his disappearance.

Just a quick update to everyone on the search, there are now billboards with Gene's poster all over Logan Airport in the hope that someone will recognize him and come forward with information.

It's been a little while since we've updated, and just want to let everyone know the reward has been increased to $12,000 for any information leading to Gene's return. The flyer has also been updated so please continue to hand out flyers and let everyone you know about Gene's disappearance.

Also, Spare Change News was good enough to write a great article about Gene which continues to keep his face in the media. This is a newspaper distributed around the Boston area, so hopefully it will spur some new leads.

The Eagle Tribune, which has been outstanding in helping us keep Gene's story alive, ran another piece on him today. They also put together a video of an interview with Caitlin and Gene's mother, Zhanna.

Keep an eye out in the next couple of days, we're going to be running an advertising campaign in USA Today for Eugene! This is all possible thanks to the very generous donations of Gene's family, friends, and concerned individuals.

Hello everyone, we are still doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes, currently we are trying to get an ad in USA Today so that Gene gets more national coverage.

In the meantime, it would be a huge help if everyone could take the time to print off some missing persons flyers and put them up in their local YMCA's, community centers, churches, and any place you can think of where people will see it.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated money so far. Because of your generosity we were able to run our ad in the Boston Metro last week, and we will continue to use donations to print more flyers, cards, and run more ads to keep Gene in the news. Again, his family and friends working closely with the investigation cannot thank you all enough for your kind words and donations!

There are going to be several people going back to Faneuil Hall in Boston tonight to hand out business cards with Gene's information on them to cab drivers and bar-goers alike. We hope that this effort will help to continue to keep Gene's face in the front of everyones mind, and that hopefully a cab driver will recognize him.

Unfortunately, the body of Greg Hart was found yesterday in a river about 2 miles away from the bar where he went missing. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers, this is a terrible tragedy.

A young man from Dedham went missing over the weekend, in circumstances that are eerily similar to Gene's. 23 year old Greg Hart of Dedham, MA, went out to celebrate a new job Saturday night with friends down in Providence, RI. He stepped out of the bar around 1:40am and hasn't been seen since. Friends have been unable to get in touch with him via cell phone, and his car remains parked at his friends house.

I'm sure all of Gene's friends can empathize with what Greg's family and friends are going through right now. I ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as well, and that both of these men are found soon and safe. We are working on getting in touch with Greg's family to offer support.

We are currently working on getting missing persons ads in the papers and magazines, both local and national. Things start to get a bit expensive as we do more of this, and as such we're asking donations to help continue the search for Gene. We're contacted Nancy Grace at CNN, and are awaiting a response. If you get the time please write a post to the Nancy Grace Facebook page we setup so her team has more chance of seeing it. We've also contacted America's Most Wanted, and are working to get his face on morning talk shows.

You'll also likely see ad's for this website and Gene on Facebook and Google, we are doing this to increase exposure to his disappearance. Please click "Like" on the Facebook ad if you see it, it will increase visibility to others on the site.

The police are still continuing their search for Gene. They are working with the DA to subpeona his bank records to double check that no activity has occured since he went missing. They have looked at cab data from the evening and claim that the cab angle has been ruled out, and they checked with a few cabs that seemed suspect.

We are still working to keep Gene in the news. FOX news in Boston ran a story over the weekend about Gene, and we have been in touch with more non-profits for help. We are also trying to get his face on the national circuit. We have contacted Nancy Grace of CNN, Americas Most Wanted, and are reaching out to morning talk shows as well. If we get any headway on the national track we'll post an update here.

Unfortunately there haven't been any new updates regarding Gene since the last large scale water search. The police have drastically slowed down their case, as no new leads have popped up on land or at sea, and the media has started to slow in turn.

This is why its up to us to continue the search for Gene, to go around and poster fliers wherever possible. If you're able to get on a radio show, or get a story out to a newspaper, even a local paper, it just further increases the chances that someone will recognize him and he'll turn up.

Gene is out there somewhere, its imperitive that we don't forget about him, and fight to keep him in the news to help bring him home safely. Please continue to do whatever you can, and take peace in knowing that each passing day brings us closer to him being back in our lives.
